Bolatito Olaobaju bags Ekejo Iyalode of Oonirisa chieftaincy title
Chief Ms Bolatito Akanke Olaobaju, a London based businesswoman was, on Saturday 5th of October 2019, conferred with Ekejo Iyalode of Oonirinsa Chieftaincy by his imperial majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife.
The glamorous conferment ceremony which has the Osun State first lady, Alhaja Kafayat Olaitan Oyetola, as the special guest of honour took place at the prestigious QRS Events and Conference Center in Ile-Ife, Osun State.
Notable indigenes of Ile-Ife, captains of industry, traditional rulers within and outside Osun State, politicians, business associates from home and abroad and friends and family all attended the much talk about event in recent time.
Family
Bolatito Akanke, a little over five decades ago was born into the family of late Pa Gabriel Fasanmoye Olaobaju who hailed from the Lowa Yalemo Akanti-Oke and late Princess Dorcas Asabi Jeyede, hailed from the Oruru Compand in Ejigan, Efon-Alaaye, is the last of the six children in the family.
Her father was the head (Baale) of Akanti Oke family until his death while her mother was a princess from royal clan of Oruru Compand in Ejigan, Efon-Alaaye.
Chief Bolatito Akanke is blessed with five (5) Children, boys and girls.
Education/Career
She attended the Central Primary School, Ilare between 1971-1974 and later moved to Lagos to continue with her primary education at St. Mary Catholic Primary School, Ajegunle, Apapa between 1974-1977.

She thereafter obtained Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Secretariat Administration from Lagos State Polytechnic and subsequently worked at Ibukunola Printers as a Secretary for two (2) years. She also worked with the late Gani Fewehinmi (SAN) as a Secretary in his Law Firm for seven (7) years, from 1990 to 1997; a period her name keeps appearing on Gani Fawehinmi’s weekly Law Report then.
Business lines
After leaving the law firm, Chief Bolatito Akanke started a Textile and Clothing business, owning two Shops at Oshodi Market and as well did some professional course while she engaged in trading.
She also ventured into automobile and electronics, these she did in collaboration with her brother, Oladimeji Olaobaju. In order to boost her business and sales, Bolatito travelled abroad to purchase goods and products, thus expanding her business contacts. After many business trips abroad, she found more reasons to stay put overseas, which later translated to her settling down in the United Kingdom.
As a resident in the U.K., she studied Health and Social Care, where she obtained a certificate and qualified as a Support Worker.
Chief Bolatito Akanke’s love and desire to acquire more knowledge drove her to attend more colleges to do some full and part-time courses. With various professional certificates in her kitty, she made swift progress by taking some other professional courses which subsequently qualified her as a Mental Health Support Worker in a Mental Hospital.

As an indigene, born and bred in Ile-Ife, she has been relentless in giving back to Ile-Ife, the Source of Yoruba race. Since the coronation of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ooni of Ife, she has submissively and consistently been given back to the community through the support and encouragement of Oonirisa.
Social Commitment
Her initiative, YEYE GBOBANIYI O’ODUA of Yoruba Land came to existence, where mightily courageous women of valor, who are full of passion and enthusiasm of common love for the human race, has been part and parcel of. The YEYE GBOBANIYI O’ODUA of Yoruba Land has supported HIM Ooni Ogunwusi to achieve some of his Charity Projects in Ile-Ife.
Through its various philanthropic gestures, YEYE GBOBANIYI O’ODUA has provided care and aids for aged women in Ile-Ife. Presently, and on the verge of constructing an ultramodern vocational institute tagged, YEYE GBOBANIYI VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE , Ile-Ife. As a fatherly gesture, HIM Ooni Ogunwusi have given us Acres of Land to lay foundation and build, a project that has already begun.
